En spelprogramvarulicens är ett tillstånd från Spelinspektionen som krävs för att tillverka, tillhandahålla, installera eller ändra spelprogramvara som används för kommersiellt onlinespel på den svenska licensmarknaden. Licensen är B2B — den ges till studior och plattformsbolag som NetEnt, Evolution, Pragmatic Play och Play'n GO, inte till kasinooperatörerna själva. I april 2026 har 199 bolag aktiv spelprogramvarulicens.

Vilka är de största spelutvecklarna med svensk licens?

De största namnen i registret är Evolution Malta Limited (live casino), Pragmatic Solutions, Play'n GO Malta, Yggdrasil Gaming, Hacksaw Studios, Nolimit City, Quickspin, Big Time Gaming, Push Gaming, ELK Studios, Stakelogic och Relax Gaming. Tillsammans levererar dessa studior huvuddelen av slot- och bordspelsutbudet på svensk-licensierade kasinon.

Måste alla spel på svenska kasinon levereras av licensierade utvecklare?

Ja. Sedan omregleringen 2019 får svensk-licensierade kasinon endast erbjuda spel som är utvecklade och tillhandahållna av bolag med svensk spelprogramvarulicens. Det är därför antalet studior i registret är så stort — varje större studio som vill att deras spel ska finnas på svenska kasinon behöver ett eget tillstånd.

Hur lång tid är en spelprogramvarulicens giltig?

En spelprogramvarulicens utfärdas typiskt på fem år, men kortare licenser på två år förekommer också för nyare aktörer. Licensen kan förlängas och de flesta etablerade studior har förnyat sina tillstånd minst en gång sedan licensreformen 2019. Aktuella slutdatum för varje bolag finns i listan ovan.
